About Book
In the blood-soaked jungles of Guadalcanal, as World War II rages on, a weary but determined U.S. Navy chaplain, Father Frederic Gehring, is thrust into a battle far beyond gunfire and enemy lines. Amid the carnage, he encounters an orphaned child—frail, barely clinging to life, and left abandoned in the crossfire of war.
With the odds stacked against her survival, Gehring defies logic, risking his own life to shield the girl from the chaos of battle. Armed with nothing but his faith, he sets out on a mission—not just to save her body, but to rescue her soul from the clutches of despair.
